Frequently Asked Questions

A doula doesn't deliver babies or provide medical care — a midwife or OB handles that. My role is continuous physical, emotional, and informational support before, during, and after birth. Think of me as the person in your corner who helps you understand your options, advocates for your preferences, and makes sure you never have to navigate this alone. I work alongside your medical team, not instead of them.

I blend traditional doula support with Ayurvedic postpartum wisdom — an approach that's been caring for new mothers for thousands of years and is only now getting the attention it deserves in the West. Where a lot of postpartum care stops at "let us know if you need anything," I bring a structured, whole-body framework for recovery: nourishment, rest, warmth, and ritual, tailored to what your body actually needs in the fourth trimester.

Doula services are increasingly reimbursable through HSA/FSA accounts and some insurance plans. I'm happy to provide a superbill or receipt for you to submit — coverage varies by provider, so I'd recommend checking with yours directly. I am on the Carrot Fertility Directory for Postpartum services.

I also offer virtual consultations for anyone outside my travel radius, and I offer travel packages for all 50 states and internationally— just reach out, and we'll figure out what's possible.

Yes. Because I'm often fully booked for direct client work, I've built resources for families and fellow practitioners who want Ayurvedic postpartum knowledge in a self-guided format — including guides, workbooks, and my signature course.
